The D2 Practical course is offered as live Zoom sessions for each discipline (Solo, 2Baton, 3Baton, Duet, Medley and Solo DanceTwirl). The PRACTICAL session for each discipline is mandatory and will be 2- to 3-hours in length. There are also two sessions of study groups offered for each discipline. These are not mandatory but are beneficial to your learning and development as a judge.

The prerequisites to registering for the D2 Practical Course are:

  1. You must be 18 years of age or older.
  2. You must hold a CBTF Technical Association Membership (Type T1) in your province of residence.
  3. You must be at the TRAINED level (i.e. completed the PRACTICAL COURSE and EXAMS) of the D1 course to take the D2 Practical Course.
  4. You must complete the D2 online THEORY course before taking the PRACTICAL course with STUDY GROUPS.

Upon completion of the PRACTICAL and STUDY GROUP Sessions, the participant will be eligible to write the comprehensive final exam.
